JACK LEE & THE DRIVERS
1966 - 1970
******
In 1966 Gene Sullivan, (When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again), who owned a recording studio, called me occasionally to record with his clients. On one of those sessions I played on a demo for a young vocalist named Jack Lee and that began a long time friendship and one of my longest working relationships in music, and we played most of the popular venues of that era. I played steel with Jack Lee & The Drivers until 1970 when I decided to quit music to focus on my career with the Oklahoma City Fire Department and to complete my college degree. I did not play music again until 1984 after I retired from the Fire Department.
